Massage/Bath oil or Perfume Oil is a luxury that is very quick and simple to make yourself.

To start with you'll need a carrier oil, this is usually a vegetable oil and there are many to choose from ..

Sweet Almond Oil - A popular carrier oil, non greasy, glides easily over the skin and helps balance the skins moisture loss/absorption.

Jojoba Oil - A great oil for any skin type, Jojoba oil (it's actually a wax) mimics the oil in our skin pretty well, some say it tricks our
skin into thinking it has produced enough oil helping to balance oil production. Jojoba also has a very long shelf life, a great choice if you don't use regularly.

Apricot Kernel Oil - Particularly helpful to sensitive or mature skin. Also non greasy oil like Almond oil, Contains vitamin E so a longer shelf life than Almond oil too. Infact this is a good alternative to Almond old, especially if you have a nut allergy!

Grapeseed Oil - Loved for its linoleic acid content, an essential fatty acid important for skin and cell membranes, this is a great moisturiser.

There are many oils you can use as carrier oils, those are just a few examples, others include Avocado Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Sunflower oil, Olive Oil, Sesame Oil .. Try as many as you like to see what works best for you. You can even mix your carrier oils.

Next ....

You will need an empty clean bottle that will hold 100mls, a measuring jug and fragrance oil or essential oil (if using essential oil you must research that oil. Essential oils are powerful, some must not be used on the skin, others can be beneficial)

Now here's the easy bit - measure out 100ml of your chosen carrier oil/oils into the jug. If mixing carriers oils then 50ml of each. Or any
combination
to reach 100ml.

Now add your fragrance oil, 1ml .. as an estimate 15-20 drops = 1 ml (note this measurement applies to fragrance oils only)

Pour into your bottle .. you can give it a little shake to mix it all together and there you have your very own Massage Oil or Bath Oil.

If using as a Perfume Oil get a handy roller perfume bottle .. Click HERE, ideal for popping in your handbag and using on the go!

Enjoy!
